The Fool: Graciella la Gitana Oracle©

Graciella speaks. I channel her words, wisdom, and sentiment. –Theresa

The fool is frequently one who we do not wish to be described as. As depicted in the image, the fool is caught with their hands buried in treasure, a cookie jar, or someone's jewelry case. The fool is fearful, as the rabbit behind them symbolizes, and they are often shown as silly or as an unwise person in a dramatic manner. Lights glare, music swells, and they are never to be trusted again. Is it you or someone in your life who becomes the fool this week?

But there is another take on the fool. The fool is also known as innocent and who is open to what life is bringing to them. In the Rider-Waite deck, the fool's image is of one who about to walk off a cliff, head in the clouds, not heeding his little dog's yips. In Robert M. Place's deck, The Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery, the fool is blindfolded. Her flowing hair keeps measure with her arms thrown up into the air. This fool is about to step also. But she steps down onto another level far less dangerous than the fool in the Rider-Waite deck.

What is your belief about the fool? Are you willing to show openly who you are in the light? By doing so, will you garner more knowledge, that leads to wisdom? Will you take your chances? There is no shame in being seen as a fool. The fool has the audacity to take chances. The fool goes forward with eyes opened or closed. They may be using their invisible third eye for observation and fool others into believing they are who they are not.

Will you take a chance this week? Are the possibilities worth the risk for you? Are you afraid to be the fool?

In light and courage,

Graciella and Theresa
