The toreador speaks of the motives behind one's actions. Only we can discern the reasons that we engage in behaviors. The other only sees the actions or the results of our efforts. We may have prayed for someone behind the scenes. We may have sat up all night editing our novels or rocking our wailing babies. The morning's results may be a manuscript ready for the copy editor's eyes or a parent who is exhausted and irritable- unable to keep their eyes open.
Do we then expect others to provide us full support or cosign our moves? Are we truly engaging in our activities for the love that is inspired within us?
